The 2010 British Columbia Poker Championships (BCPC) have officially been announced and once again will take place at the River Rock Casino in Richmond BC. Historically this tournament has been one of the biggest poker tournaments in Canada with a 2 million dollar prize pool and many popular poker pros invading Vancouver for this event including Daniel Negreanu who was the 2008 BCPC champion and took home $371,910.

Here is the official 2010 BCPC schedule:

Nov 19-21 12:00pm $550 No Limit Hold’em – $154,000 estimated prize pool. 2 day 1s + 1 day 2.
Nov 22-23 12:00pm $1100 No Limit Hold’em – $500,000 estimated prize pool. 2 day event
Nov 24 12:00pm $200 Super Satellites
Nov 25-28 12:00pm $2700 No Limit Hold’em – $1,875,000 estimated prize pool. 4 Day Event

Single Table Satellites will be starting up on October 1 for both the $1100 and $2700 events.

o $120 buy-in / 10 Players
+ 1st place receives entry to $1,100 event
o $230 buy-in / 10 Players
+ Top 2 receives entry to $1,100 event

* $2,700 Main Event
o $290 buy-in / 10 Players
+ 1st place receives entry to $2,700 BCPC Main Event
o $560 buy-in / 10 Players
+ Top 2 places receives entry to $2,700 BCPC Main Event

Starting on Sunday August 1st they will be running super satellites alternating every Sunday between the $120 (to qualify for the $1100) and $200 (to qualify for $2700).

* Awards one(1) $1,100 event entry for every 10 participants
* 12pm: Aug 1, 15, 29 | Sep 5, 12, 19, 26 | Oct 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 | Nov 7 & 14

# $2,700 Main Event

* $200 buy-in ($180 + $20)
* Awards one(1) $2,700 entry for every 15 participants
* 12pm: Aug 8, 22 | Sep 4, 18, 25 | Oct 2, 16, 23, 30 | Nov 6 & 13

# Sunday Nov 15 @ 12pm: $120 Super Satellite with $100 Re-buys and $100 Add-on

# Wednesday Nov 18 @ 12pm: $120 Super Satellite with $100 Re-buys and $100 Add-on

* Unlimited Conditional $100 ($2,000TC) Re-buys during levels 1 – 4 (players are eligible to re-buy at $2,000TC or less)
* All active players are eligible for the $100 Add-on ($4,000TC) at the end of level 4

No online satellites to the 2010 BC Poker Championships have been annouced yet, but Canada Poker News will report it as soon as we find out.
