The dates for the 2012 Fallsview Poker Classic has been announced. This year, the third time for the FPC, the series will start later, running from February 8-13, 2012 at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls. There will be $2.4 Million in guaranteed prize money, but the actual schedule has yet to be released. Surprising this figure is down from the $2.8 million estimate from 2011, though the final number was prizes just over $2.4mil so it appears they used that number. Judging by the length though it would be a good guess if it was the same tournament offering as 2011. The $1,000 event on the Wed/Thurs Feb 8 and 9th. The $2500 event on Fri/Sat Feb 10 & 11th. And the $5,000 event on Sun/Mon Feb 12&13th.
Hopefully the actually selling of tickets and satellites will be more organized this year. Last year if you did not buy into the $1k event early, scalpers were selling them for over double the buyin. In 2011 Giuseppe Spano won the $5k event for $312,697, David Quang won the $2.5k event for $283,387, and Joseph Mandool won the $1k event for $146,140.
